Our Heritage
Big Tree Coffee was born from a lifelong love of the land and cherished childhood memories of tending coffee fields. From playing among the coffee trees to harvesting, pulping, and drying beans, coffee has always been part of our lives.
This has not exactly been smooth sailing. Following personal tragedies, our mother courageously took on running the farm and a young family single-handedly. Her determination maintained the farm as the heart of the local community and nurtured it for the next generation. Deep down, we believed that coffee farming was our way back—not just for our family, but also for the local community that had been impacted by our loss.
In 2019, we planted our first Batian trees. Since then, our coffee farm has blossomed to encompass approximately 24 acres, with 9,800 thriving coffee trees. In 2023, we expanded by introducing 10,000 trees of the renowned SL-28 arabica variety, demonstrating our commitment to growing high-quality coffee.
